With a reputation that echoes through its tenured history, this spot maintains its draw through tasty offerings and nostalgic vibes.
The menu boasts a variety of quintessential fast foods, featuring the beloved poutine, a dish that has garnered rave reviews for its comforting combination of fries, cheese curds, and gravy. Customer reactions are a mix of pleasure and critique; while many, like Ariadne MacGillivray, describe the poutine as "amazing" and a highlight of their visit, others, such as Kayla Barron, suggest it comes at a premium price relative to its size. Great food, amazing poutine but quite expensive for the size you get
Nice small hut Poutine was decent. Grillades had bacon slightly extra too dry though
Delicious fries and frite sauce. Haven't tried much more from there yet. Friendly and nice shaded tables to eat at. Plenty of parking.
Everything was amazing! Steamy was incredible, poutine was amazing, pogos were the best I've ever had. Will always be stopping here on the way to MTL.
Typical style casse croute, normal steamed hot dogs nothing exceptional, philly steak is not great and served on a basic pom bun. The service is extremely slow, 2 people ahead that had ordered and it took about 15 mins to place an order with 3 people working on a Friday night is crazy. This place is not prepared for rush hours. Edit... I would love to having worked at casse croutes for 10 years. But seeing how this place is run no thanks, you need to better train your staff and work on process flow. I wouldn't have patience seeing how you jump all over the place and no dedicated workstations during rush hours.
Fun, popular câsse-croute by the side of the main road in Mercier. Has been here for years. Steamed hot dogs are classic Montreal and extraordinary (order it “all-dressed”) - 5/5. The smoked meat sandwich was just ok (sliced a little thin for me, and really needs to be on rye) - 3/5. The poutine was good 4/5.
Great poutine, an authentic experience. Cash only as it should be for a true casse croute.
